Nováková, Lucie ; Žalmanová, Petra (referee) ; Šindlar, Jiljí (advisor)
The assignment of the diploma thesis is an architectural study of a cycling stadium - velodrome in the Pisárky district in Brno for TJ Favorit Brno. The existing velodrome is located southwest on the edge of the Brno Exhibition Center on Křížovského Street. The Velodrome no longer meets the current requirements of track cycling, but it is historically valuable and has its genius loci. The new 250 m long wooden bike track (together with other parameters of the International Cycling Union) and its associated sports grounds are "inserted" into the existing velodrome, which is modified and reconstructed according to requirements. The grandstands have been preserved. The built-in building with a new track is then completely roofed, creating an enclosed space. As part of the stadium reconstruction, a new facility was also created for TJ Favorit Brno from a modular container system; These are changing rooms for athletes, administrative areas, and facilities for visiting clubs and athletes and IP areas. The container construction system for sports facilities is very practical, economical, fast, environmentally friendly, variable, and flexible to the current requirements of a constantly evolving sport. The Anteroom and ground floor in the southern part of the existing velodrome is equipped with services for the public: a cafe, souvenir shop, cash register, information center, service, and a bicycle and sports equipment store. The new track with grandstands is covered with ETFE foil anchored to new lattice trusses, which are connected to the existing roof.

The human interaction is described by the author himself as a perception of the image, which serves as an information unit that could be presented as a possibility, example and pattern for the individual. There is an emphasis on the process of perception itself and on the way of interaction of an individual emphasizing the context of social learning and imitation in this text. Pseudoauthenticity of live feeds in tv broadcast
Menšíková, Iva ; Lokšík, Martin (advisor) ; Šmíd, Milan (referee)
My bachelor's dissertation is dedicated to the problems of live shots in television news, specifically to the pseudoauthenticity of live shots. It means that I concentrate on a form and amount of live shots in main news programmes of three major TV stations in the Czech Republic (Czech television, Nova and Prima Family). At first, I am going to describe theoretical findings that relates to the topic and that are necessary for understanding the whole problem - including the live shot in the news, text, locality and reporter of the live shot. I am going to explain that live shots are also a part of infotainment. The goal of my dissertation is to demonstrate that the live shots are used too frequently and the reason for its inclusion is not always relevant. Of course I pay attention also to the content of the live shots - if it brings new, actual information that could not be in pre-recorded report or if the live shot mediate the atmosphere from the place of the event. I answer these questions thanks to few examples which show that the live shot often does not bring any added value despite it tries to look like that. Apart from my own research I am interested in the opinion of the spectators - how they see the amount of live shots in television news, if they think live shots are more credible or if...
Presentation of chosen tv series from period of normalization in magazines czechoslovak television and television
Vlček, Matěj ; Bednařík, Petr (advisor) ; Šírová, Tereza (referee)
This thesis examines how two magazines from normalization era (Czechoslovak television and Television) wrote about three chosen TV Series (The Thirty Adventures of Major Zeman, Good Water and Gottwald) when they were launched on the screen. Not only noticing topical and genre range of the texts, thesis also judges degree of propaganda in unusual journalistic environment (state press writes about state television). Thesis notes viewers'opinions apart from official texts. They were also published on magazines. Last but not least, thesis compares media environment of those days with temporary one. It notes details from normalization that are not supposed to work today. Theoretical and historical view on Czechoslovak television's operation during normalization goes before concrete research. A lot of media literature is used. Thesis confronts opinions of censored press in normalization with more objective state. This is applied both on evaluations or describing of series and on writing about real historical events. Therefore, two series that describes historiy from communist point of view were chosen - The Thirty Adventures of Major Zeman and Gottwald.
Eurovision Song Contest and its watching by Czech audience in the context of their interest in the European Union
Miklíková, Martina ; Reifová, Irena (advisor) ; Nečas, Vlastimil (referee)
The diploma thesis focuses on the connection of interest in the international music competition Eurovision Song Contest and in the European Union. The theoretical part shows the current approaches to the study of the contest, which is watched annually by almost 200 million viewers worldwide. The work also provides space for a brief history of the contest, including a detailed description of how the Czech Republic participated there, what the country has done only at the time of membership in the European Union. The competition, based on a grouping of European states, is placed here in the context of the European Union, which together share the motivation for their historical establishment. The text therefore shows the history and development of the European Communities and the establishment of the European Union and its institutions. One of them is the European Parliament, whose representatives are directly elected by the citizens of the Member States. On the example of the elections to the European Parliament in 2019, the work penetrates the possible interest of events in the European Union and watching the Eurovision Song Contest, as both events - elections and contest evenings - took place at about the same time - in mid-May 2019. With the help of quantitative and qualitative methods, data from...
